There are also the testimonials of thousands of people whose lives have been dramatically changed by the Holy Spirit. There are noticeable differences in the lives of people who have placed their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and who have walked in His word, the Bible. Christians can overcome even lifelong sins that had enslaved them.

Here is the testimonial of how I became a Christian: In 1996, while living in Las Vegas, I was driving west on Oakey Boulevard near the I-15 overpass, where there was a little shopping area and Poppa Gar's restaurant. I parked the car, walked over and gave money to a homeless man in a wheelchair. Part of his leg was amputated. A stranger, he immediately told me personal things he had no way of knowing through normal means. Everything he said was true. He told me that I had a scar, and he indicated its position at my groin area. (It was from a hernia operation I had as a kid.) Since my clothing covered the scar, his knowledge of it and its position hit me. He then told me that I had stock in a certain company, and he named the company. (In fact, it is the only company in which I have stock.) At this point, he definitely had my complete attention. He then told me that I was going to hell. (I knew that this was also true.) I drove home, started crying and began reading the Bible in earnest. In fear of burning in hell forever, I cried tears of perfect contrition. I started listening to a lot of Christian radio shows, especially the teaching ministries. Being in a lot of back pain at night, I prayed "please Lord" over and over. Several months later, while I was sitting in the waiting room of a doctor's office, the Holy Spirit infused me with love and taught me some things about God. The Bible says that we will know something by its fruit. Since this man led me to God, he was definitely of God.

It is becoming more and more clear that those who go to hell cannot claim that they did not have ample proof of God's existence and did not have ample warning of the consequences of not loving God and following His word. They will have only themselves to blame in eternal blackness and burn pain, the most severe kind of pain, forever and forever. God describes hell as a place where there are a lake of fire (Revelation 20:15), a furnace of fire (Matthew 13:50), everlasting fire (Matthew 25:41), everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46), eternal damnation (Mark 3:29), wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:42), outer darkness and weeping (Matthew 25:30) torments in flames (Luke 16:24).
